Mark Joslyn (He/Him)
Founder | Financial Planner
Mark Joslyn offers fee-based financial advice. His mission is to financially empower the underserved LGBTQ+ community through education, in-depth financial planning and advice. Mark’s expertise has been gained from decades of serving in the roles of COO, CFO, and business owner in the television production industry. He decided to merge his financial and management skills with his passion for authentic connection with people – providing financial guidance that aligns with their values and priorities.
Mark attended the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with a focus on Finance and Business Management and has a BFA in Theatre from Missouri State University. Mark is a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative with Equity Services Inc. and offers securities in Illinois and other states across the country. He is insurance licensed in Illinois.

- Co-owned the company that created and produced "My Strange Addiction" on TLC
- Former CFO at Howard Brown Health Center
- Shares many patients/clients with husband Dr. Chris, together caring for their physical, financial, and mental wellness.
- Has lived with Dr. Hubby in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood for over two decades
Patrick Gosney (He/Him)
Client Service Associate
Patrick Gosney is Mark Joslyn's Client Service Associate, meaning he coordinates with you directly to implement the strategies Mark develops. As a graduate of DePaul University and having lived in Chicago for over ten years, Patrick is grateful to be able to support the LGBTQ+ community and its allies in preparing for the future.
Fun Facts:
- Has a tabby cat named Claritin
- Was on an episode of Chicago Fire
- Could probably beat you in a game of darts
Pilot Lee (He/She/They)
Financial Professional
Pilot attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned a B.S. in Personal Finance with a focus in Financial Planning. She also won the Rosalie Amelie Amelia Morton Award for the Most Outstanding Graduate in the Consumer Science Department in 2024. They are insurance licensed in Illinois.
Fun Facts:
- Pilot is an artist in their free time and enjoys mediums such as screen printing, illustration, 3D modeling, zine making, and more.
- Pilot co-founded and co-organizes a Madison, WI-based art market aimed at uplifting queer, trans, emerging, and BIPOC artists.
- They take neon-sign making classes in their free time (using a torch to melt glass and fold neon signs).
- As a hobby, he bakes Asian-American fusion desserts. His signature dishes are Ube Coconut Macaroons & Indian Filter Coffee Caramel Creme Brulée
